Employment Training

In-Service Training

New staff members receive intensive training upon hire and ongoing in-service training updates conducted within the Center. Each staff member is asked for his/her input concerning topics for the in-services and selection of subject matter is based on the needs of the employees and the value it can offer to the largest number of staff members.

Subsequent to each in-service, staff members shall be asked to evaluate and submit to the administrator or residential program director constructive feedback concerning the value and significance of each of the in-services.

Continuing Education

St. Louis Center supports employees’ efforts to improve their skills and their job performance through continuing education pertinent to their job duties.

From time to time, St. Louis Center will ask certain employees to attend special seminars or conventions in order to enhance their job duties. Employees may also request specialized training and the Center, at its sole discretion, will sponsor the employee for specialized programs it deems to be appropriate. St. Louis Center will cover the cost of these programs and pay the Employee their standard wage while attending, as long as the program is completed to the satisfaction of the Center.

In addition, the Center includes education reimbursement funds in its budget. These funds will be allocated on a first come/first served basis.
