Volunteers

Michigan guidelines in the licensing of direct care facilities have made it difficult to bring volunteers into our facility without providing certain safeguards for our residents. Thus, volunteer opportunities are somewhat limited. Volunteer opportunities that indirectly benefit our residents are sometimes available, e.g., special events, fundraising, painting, cleaning, sorting, filing, mailings, etc.

Student internship opportunities for working with our residents may be available to qualified individuals. Individuals that work directly with our residents are required to undergo a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background checks. Additional training may also be required.
